Transformation Needs a Common Language in the Company Starting with the Management

In times of change and uncertainty, companies and their employees need effective managers who speak a common language and multiply their positive impact throughout the company. In my workshops for leadership teams, I help companies to shape this change process in a positive and motivating way. Those workshop strengthen managers in their leadership role and also point out the importance of collaboration between managers.

The aim of a transformation workshop is for all participants to develop the following 3 things:

🎯 Common understanding of authentic leadership & communication:

A common understanding of lwhat leadership means gives managers the knowledge and confidence of knowing how to lead. They learn how to assess difficult situations more quickly and how to authentically and fittingly react to them. Leaders in my workshops learn how to maintain an overview in order to see the big picture. At the same time, they recognize how they can maintain a balance with their own authentic leadership style.

🧰 A toolbox that contains methods and provides structure:

With the help of my Soccer-Field-Method® and Toolbox for Managers, managers are supported in enabling and empowering their employees. The toolbox creates a common framework for a clear language in the company since everyone knows the rules and principles. This enables and encourages managers to lead in an authentic and healthy way. We include examples from the participants' day-to-day work and relate them to the following 3 levels: self-management, conversational management and team management. After the workshops, the participants realize that "good team management" starts with "good self-management".

🗣️ Openness to personal exchange:

In workshops like mine, participants are given the opportunity to exchange ideas on all kinds of leadership topics in safe environment. This exchange is an important motivator. It shows managers very quickly that they are not alone with their challenges (which is unfortunately far too often assumed). In addition, other managers can share helpful ideas and learnings. The relief of not being alone and motivation that comes from this exchange multiplies throughout the company after the workshops.

My Role as Trainer and Coach

It is a great pleasure for me to be able to support a wide range of great companies. After all, transformations are exciting, but they also need to be accompanied in a thoughtful way in order to shape them positively.

At this point, a big thank you to the STF Group and all participants! Especially a shoutout to Azime Arslan for trusting me to accompany the workshop and for the pleasant & friendly cooperation! I am looking forward to the next workshops ... 🤩🙏🏽

Before I conclude this article, I would like to know: Do you have a standardized understanding of 'leadership' and "communication" in your company? And if so, how do you define it?

I look forward to your feedback!
